Make Ahead and Freezing Instructions

To Make Ahead: Hard-boiled eggs will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to one week. Keep them in a zip-lock bag or container to prevent them from absorbing odors or drying out if they are peeled.

To Freeze: Eggs do not freeze well. The egg whites tend to turn rubbery, making them unappealing. The yolks, on the other hand, freeze really well and can be stored for use in sauces and garnishes.

  • Egg size consideration: For best results, use extra-large (XL) eggs to ensure they fill the dinosaur molds completely and create well-defined shapes.
  • Variation suggestion: Experiment with different fillings or toppings for a personalized touch. Get creative with flavors that complement the dinosaur theme!
