Make Ahead and Unmolding Instructions

To Make Ahead: Popsicles can be made up to five months in advance. Check for ice crystals and a gummy coating if you’re not sure if the popsicles are still fresh.

To Unmold: Hold the mold under lukewarm running water for 15 seconds to one minute. Gently loosen the lid, gently squeeze the mold to loosen the popsicle, and slide it out using the stick.

Notes

  • *Quantity: MUST 4x ingredients if you want 4 popsicles in 1 flavor.
  • Blending tip: For a few chinky bits in your popsicle, blend as usual, but just before finishing, add a few extra fruit pieces. Pulse one or two times, and viola, perfect popsicles with a chunk here and there.
  • Pouring tip: Pour the blended mixture into the molds slowly and evenly to prevent air bubbles from forming. If any air gets trapped, gently tap the mold on the countertop to release the air.
  • Unmolding method: To remove popsicles from molds easily, hold the mold under running warm water for a few seconds to loosen the popsicles before gently pulling them out.
  • Storage tip: For optimal freshness, store any leftover popsicles in a ziplock bag or freezer-safe container. This is only necessary if you have already removed them from their molds and will help prevent freezer burn.
  • Customization: Feel free to adjust the sweetness level by adding more or less honey according to your taste preferences. You can also experiment with different fruits, juices, nuts, candies, and chocolate. Get really creative and add a few spices like cinnamon and nutmeg or even chili if you’re brave.
